Distribution of withers heights of Jomon dog and other native Japanese breeds
Most Jomon dogs were likely small dogs, similar in size to modern shibas. From the measurements of the humeri, radii, and tibiae, the withers height of Dog #1 is estimated to be around 38 cm.
